The founder of Southland Properties, Steve Hayden is an LSU alumnus and is the broker for Southland Properties. After working with a large real estate firm for a few years, Steve realized the need for a more personal, property management company. He broke off on his own and began developing a professional, Property Management and Real Estate Sales company, that provided a more personal experience with its clients than what could be achieved in a large real estate firm. Steve grew the business from managing just a few residential properties, to what is now over 1500 residential and commercial properties with professional property managers in place, always holding true to his value of giving Southland’s Clients a more Personal experience in all their real estate needs.

A graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2017, Steven holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. His academic background provides a solid analytical and technical skill set, which he seamlessly integrates into his real estate career.

Since 2012, Steven has been actively involved in his family’s real estate and property management business, where he discovered his passion for selling homes and investment properties. With over 12 years of experience, he has honed his expertise in the greater Baton Rouge area, specializing in both personal homes and investment properties.
